The Truest Guru

The truest guru

will circle us back to ourselves.

To look to them is to look to a mirror. That is their function, as is any dogma or religion. Looking into a mirror we become aware of what we cannot see naturally- how our faces are to the world. We often do not recognize our True Nature because we are not separate from it, and so there is nothing to observe. And yet, there is a risk that to believe that we are the mirror: it is separating us from what is truly real. Our image becomes seemingly an object to be observed outside of ourselves. It is tempting to believe the illusion that true Sacred Source is not within.

And yet the act of looking into a mirror, like looking into the eyes of a guru or windows of any church, should be seen as a reminder that it is us that is True Consciousness, along with Everyone in the eyes of the beholder.

How do you know you have eyes without seeing them? It is through experience of what your eyes are doing that you are aware. This is all we need to reach the Realization that all world’s religions point to. We must become AWARENESS itself to experience the divine, there pulsing within. To feel the smile on our faces is to express consciousness itself. How can we not be anything other than The All?

When you look into someone’s eyes, let them be a mirror for your own soul. Divinity seemingly has expanded itself in infinite directions and yet it is all there the same: a screen that appears to be playing different images but nonetheless, it is all still one screen, capable of emanating the infinite.

And so this is the why I consider Sri Ramana Maharshi my guru and yet historically, he has refused to be seen as one, as he teaches he is not more special than anyone. Many of his teachings is that mirror, much of what I have written about here, but it is only in realization that in being aware that I am Consciousness Itself that I have come to know my truest self as Sacred Source that we are all a living flame of.
